SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 Sports) - Scott Layden has been hired as the assistant general manager of the San Antonio Spurs, as first reported by Yahoo! Sports.
Layden replaces Dennis Lindsey, who was hired as Utah's new general manager in August.
Layden, the son of former Jazz head coach Frank Layden, had been an assistant coach with the Jazz since 2005, and was also the team's general manager from 1992-1999. He earned the NBA's executive of the year award following the 1994-1995 season.
