New York, NY (Sports Network) - The National Hockey League has suspended San Jose Sharks forward Ryane Clowe indefinitely pending an in-person hearing.

Clowe will have to travel to New York for the Monday hearing, which was called as a result of his actions at the end of Friday's 2-1 loss to the Blackhawks in Chicago.

The 30-year-old was assessed a minor for roughing and a game misconduct after leaving the bench to start a skirmish as time expired.

If Clowe is found to have left the bench illegally, he will be hit with an automatic 10-game suspension without pay, and San Jose also incurs a $10,000 fine.

If Clowe is found to have departed the bench on a legal line change, he will still be subject to supplemental discipline for doing so.
