Calgary sends G Karlsson to Chicago

Calgary, AB (Sports Network) - The Calgary Flames have traded goaltender Henrik Karlsson to the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for a seventh-round pick in the 2013 draft.

Karlsson, 29, appeared in 26 games over the past two seasons for Calgary and went 5-9-8 with a 2.79 goals-against average and .905 save percentage.

The draft pick was originally an Ottawa selection that the Blackhawks acquired in a trade.
