Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - The Pittsburgh Steelers signed cornerback Justin King on Tuesday.

A Pittsburgh native, King was selected by St. Louis in the fourth round of the 2008 draft out of Penn State.

He started 19 of the 35 games he played for the Rams and spent five weeks with Indianapolis earlier this season.

To make room for King, the Steelers placed cornerback DeMarcus Van Dyke (shoulder) on injured reserve.
