Foxboro, MA (Sports Network) - The New England Patriots placed cornerback Ras- I Dowling on injured reserve Friday with a thigh injury.
The 24-year-old Dowling registered seven tackles in six games this season.
The first player taken in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft, Dowling started two games for New England during his rookie season before he landed on IR with a hip injury.
