Jaguars place RB Jones-Drew on IR

Jacksonville, FL (Sports Network) - The Jacksonville Jaguars placed running back Maurice Jones-Drew on injured reserve with a left foot injury.

Jones-Drew has missed Jacksonville's last nine games with a sprained left foot. The 2011 NFL rushing champion sustained the injury in an Oct. 21 loss at Oakland.

The 27-year-old UCLA product finished the season with 414 yards rushing with a touchdown.

In addition, the team signed rookie defensive tackle Jerome Long off the Kansas City Chiefs' practice squad.
