Houston, TX (Sports Network) - Houston Texans running back Ben Tate has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills.

Tate, who has 178 yards rushing and two touchdowns on 43 carries this season, has not practiced this week due to a sore hamstring.

Justin Forsett signed with Houston during the offseason and is expected to back up Arian Foster.

"I just have a ton of confidence in him," Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said of Forsett. "Boy, he's really respected by our team, and every time we've given him a chance he's done good stuff."
