Rockets ink James Anderson, release Cook

Houston, TX (Sports Network) - The Houston Rockets signed swingman James Anderson to a multi-year contract and released guard Daequan Cook on Wednesday.

Anderson was waived by San Antonio on Dec. 20 after averaging 3.7 points and 1.3 rebounds in 87 games over three seasons with the Spurs.

Cook averaged 3.4 points and 1.1 rebounds in 16 games with the Rockets this season.
