Baltimore, MD (Sports Network) - The Baltimore Orioles have avoided arbitration with Nolan Reimold, signing the outfielder to a one-year contract on Friday.

Reimold, 29, played just 16 games in 2012 due to a herniated disk in his neck and was on the disabled list from May 1 to the end of the season.

Over his 16 games, he posted a .313 average with five home runs and 10 RBI.

A four-year major-league veteran, Reimold has appeared in 246 games -- all with the Orioles -- and compiled a .261 average, 36 home runs and 114 RBI.
