Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - The Chicago Cubs reportedly signed catcher Dioner Navarro on Thursday.

The Chicago Tribune is reporting that the Cubs signed the free agent to a one- year deal worth $1.75 million.

The 28-year-old Navarro played in 24 games with Cincinnati last season and batted .290 with two home runs and 12 RBI.

Over nine seasons in the majors, he has batted .245 with 41 home runs and 209 RBI in 626 games with the Yankees, Dodgers, Rays and Reds.
