Nashville, TN (Sports Network) - The Arizona Diamondbacks and utilityman Eric Hinske finalized a one-year contract on Tuesday.

Hinske, 35, appeared in just 91 games for the Atlanta Braves last season and batted a mere .197 with two home runs and 13 RBI. The left-handed hitter, though, can play both corner outfield positions, first base and third.

Named Rookie of the Year for the Toronto Blue Jays in 2002, Hinske is a career .250 hitter with 136 homers and 516 RBI in his 11-year career, which also includes stops in Boston, Tampa Bay, Pittsburgh and New York (Yankees).
