BIO:
Andrea Beecher makes mountains of mole hills, the translation here being more literal than metaphorical. She’s drawn irresistibly to design, with a focus on the viscera. All roads, educational and recreational, have directed Andrea to a life of the motif. Interior design degree, corporate floorsets, movie-set design; cityhomeCOLLECTIVE is the next logical step in the forward-thinking climb in design for Andrea. Auspicious clients, you.

Talking Points:
Wallpaper is a great way to add color, pattern and personality to any space.

Types of wallpaper: Traditional, paintable, custom murals and prints. There are wallpaper styles to fit any aesthetic or taste.

You don't have to add wallpaper to an entire room if that is too much of commitment for you. Wallpaper is a great way to add some personality to a room as an accent wall, add drama to a small space such as a hallway, half bath, inside of a closet. Other fun uses are wrapping furniture such as a dresser, inside of bookcase. Inside molding in a room to create art panels.

Wallpaper can be as subtle as a tone on tone, a grass cloth or something paintable that will be the same color that just adds some dimensionality. It doesn't have to be the crazy Brady Bunch florals from the 60's.

Don't be afraid to mix patterns and colors. Don't think that because you have now wallpapered in a bold stripe that you can't add other patterns into the room. Add a floral, a smaller stripe. Make sure that the scale is right. Meaning, don't use all small patterns or all large patterns. Mix large and small patterns for dimension. As long as there is a consistent color throughout your patterns, they will work.

There are websites out there that allow you to send in a high resolution picture and they will print a wall size mural for you. (I will have a pic of that). There are also options for designing your own wallpaper. Send in a pattern that you have designed and there are websites that will print it by the roll for you. Great way to add a personal touch with a custom effect that no one else will have.

Search ebay and other sites for retro or vintage wallpaper. There are a lot of really great prints available out there. Another way to create a more personal less commercial look.
