Adam and Alyssa James literally grew up on stage as members of the musical “Steve and Lisa James Family”, entertaining for local, national and international conventions and audiences at major hotels, concert halls, and convention centers. Their Utah credits include performances at DeJong Concert Hall, Franklin-Covey Stadium, Salt Lake Convention Center, Utah Governor’s Mansion, SCERA Center for the Arts, and the Marriott Center, in addition to numerous hotels, such as the Marriott, Zermatt, Little America, and Grand America.

They have recorded numerous songs at studios throughout Utah including Platinum Lab, Counterpoint and Soularium Studios and have represented their family’s nationally recognized corporation, Something Good Inc. at various conferences and conventions. For the last 5 years, they have performed for the FM 100 Christmas Concert Series and have been a part of their family’s Seasonal Production, “Return to Christmas”.

A versatile vocalist, songwriter and budding producer, Adam plays the piano, guitar, ukulele and bongos. Alyssa, who also plays the ukulele, has trained in various styles of vocal performance. On her own, she developed a unique vocal approach that some producers have described as an Indie-folk sound with a Celtic/Americana twist. This past year, Adam coordinated with Alyssa, preparing a number of cover tunes that incorporate their original sound.

In early 2012, Adam and Alyssa showcased some of their new duets in some concerts with their parent, brother and sister. After word spread of the brother/sister team, Adam and Alyssa were invited for a personal audition with Kim DelGrosso for her “Dancing Under the Stars” show in Orem. They were chosen to appear in the show singing two numbers, one of which was the Taylor Swift/Civil Wars cover of “Safe and Sound” from the movie “Hunger Games. At that point, they decided to approach their first cousin, Taylor Warr, asking him to perform with them. (Performing solo or with numerous bands, Taylor Warr grew up performing at local, school and community events. He has played various roles in community productions and musicals. A talented vocalist, Taylor plays the guitar and the piano.) Before their first performance together, the trio entered Soularium Studios and recorded, “Safe and Sound”, working Adam and Alyssa’s father, Steve James as producer. After the recording and performance, Alyssa, Adam and Taylor joined award-winning film makers Micah Brown and Brandon Ho in the filming of their first music video.

The future looks bright for these talented young artists, including plans to record additional songs, together, as individual artists and with their family.

Film director, Brandon Ho and Director of Photography, Micah Brown are an award-winning team. Their film “My Hero” won Best Children’s Film at the 33rd Annual College Television Awards.
