LAVERKIN, Utah (ABC 4 News) - A 2-year-old girl who went missing in southern Utah and was found dead in LaVerkin Creek has been identified.
Washington County sheriff's deputies said 2-year-old Jada Harris was reported missing at about 8:00 p.m. Wednesday.
Volunteers and emergency officials found Jada's body after more than two hours of searching.
Officials said Jada was most likely caught up in heavy flow in LaVerkin Creek caused by rains in the area.
Washington County officials say Jada's death is being treated as an accident and there is no indication of suspicious activity, although the case was still under investigation.
