Dishwashers

Story Comments Share
The automatic dishwasher can be an economical and time-saving addition to your kitchen. Dishwashers only use fifteen gallons per load, which is less than the amount generally required by hand- washing. The operating cost is low, too. The electricity used is less than you would use making waffles and bacon for breakfast, and even lower if you select an air-dry option, which dries the dishes without switching on the heating element. Although dishwashers are complex machines, some failures are relatively simple to fix, and most problems can be fixed by replacing individual parts. Many problems are caused by clogging, and are fixed by cleaning trapped debris out of the screen or drain hose. Before starting any work, however, remember to turn off power to the dishwasher circuit by either removing the fuse or tripping the circuit breaker at the service panel. For more information on dishwashers, contact your local appliance dealer.
