Defining disability

Story Comments Share
It's important to understand how your insurance company defines disability because it affects your costs and the type of coverage you'll ultimately purchase. Some policies define disability as the inability to work at any profession. Other policies might gauge how much time you'd be able to devote to your current profession. If your ability to work was reduced but not eliminated, you might not receive benefits. Consult with an insurance agent in your area to find out what types of disability insurance are available to you.
