The sequel to 2010’s “Clash of the Titans” finds Perseus morning over the loss of his wife nearly 10 years after he killed the Kraken.

When Zeus is captured and is drained of his godly powers the demigod teams up with Agenor, the son of Poseidon, to save Zeus from the Underworld.

“Wrath of the Titans” is just more of the same, with less script. The film seemed to borrow heavily on other “quest” films like “Lord of the Rings” and “Star Wars.”

There’s even a “Harry Potter” moment when our hero learns he must combine 3 items to create a super weapon to defeat the ultimate evil, Zeus’ father Kronos.

What “Wrath of the Titans” does well is its special effects. But, in the long run, there’s nothing excitingly new in this sequel.

If you’re a fan of this genre you’ll like it …and that’s ok.
So, for you it will rate a B-

For everyone else it gets a C-.

It carries a PG-13 rating.
