Magic Mike is about the life and times of a male stripper (played by Channing Tatum) who is the linchpin of a small nightclub. Mike, and his dancing crew bring in the clients while the club owner (Matthew McConaughey) sets his sights on moving the club from Tampa to Miami.
Mike wanting to retire into the custom furniture world one-day takes a young dancer under his wing and trains him in the art of stripping.
That being said, no one going to this film (mostly women) is really going to see it because of the plot.
For them the movie offers up exuberant dancing and plenty of rippling flesh.
Magic Mike gets a B- and is rated R.
