Ice Age: Continental Drift (Twentieth Century Fox)
“Ice Age: Continental Drift” is the 4th in the animated series of films revolving around a group of prehistoric friends trying to survive the ice age.

The rag-tag team find themselves in peril as they are separated from their families as the continents begin to form. Manny the Mammoth (voiced by Ray Romano), the leader of the group, is having a bit of trouble dealing with his headstrong daughter (Keke Palmer).

Added to that Diego the Sabertooth Tiger falls for a fem-fatal named Shira, who sounds just like Jennifer Lopez.

Then there’s Sid the Sloth (voiced by John Leguizamo) who’s finally caught up with the family that abandoned him.

Although these plots are scattered at first, slowly everything comes together into an enjoyable and entertaining family film.

So, in the final reel the film is worth the ticket in and if you have young ones, they’ll probably take to this film a bit better than they did to “Brave.”

“Ice Age: Continental Drift” gets a solid B. It’s rated PG.
