SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - Wind blowing hard outside Liberty Wells Senior Center knocked a tree over onto a group of three senior citizens Friday evening.

The incident, which occurred around 7:30 p.m., seriously injured a 68-year-old man who was sitting in his wheelchair. The two other individuals involved helped pull the tree off the man.

The tree also downed power lines, leaving one homeowner without power.

The man was transferred to Salt Lake Regional Hospital.

The group was sitting at a table near the parking lot of Liberty Wells Senior Center at 700 South 400 East.
