SALT LAKE CITY, Ut (ABC 4 News) - The last winter storm of February roared in like a lion instead of like a lamb as a potent and strong cold front plummeted temperatures and dropped several inches of heavy snow in its wake last evening. That storm has since moved out of the state but no sooner do we catch a breath from the snow, storm number 2 is hot on its trail.

Our next round of snow is expected to impact the Wasatch Front over the next few hours and but the difference with this storm compared to yesterday's is the fact that the intensity of the snowfall will be a lot less dramatic. However, we will see the snow fall for a greater period of time instead of just for a couple of hours befoer tapering off Friday.

Additonal snow accumulations will range from 2-4 inches along the valley floors with locally greater amounts along the benches. The mountains should see an another 8-16 inches on top of the foot and half they have already received so the ski resorts will continue to enjoy some much needed snow and business. Central and Southern Utah will also see snow but it will be in much lighter amounts but it is important to continue to use caution while out on the roads.

Stay tuned to ABC 4 News and your Pinpoint Forecast for all the latest storm updates.
