Surveillance video shows man stealing from industrial yard

SALT LAKE, Utah (ABC 4 News) – Police say Salt Lake’s industrial area is seeing a high rate of criminal activity.

The Salt Lake City Police Department seeks the public’s help to identify a man suspected of burglarizing a commercial trailer in the city’s industrial sector.

The surveillance video shows a man arriving in a pick up truck then using bolt cutters and a hand-held grinder to break the lock on a trailer. He may be responsible for other burglaries in the area as well.

Police say the area affected is West of Redwood Road from North Temple down to 2100 South.

Investigators say burglaries, metal thefts, semi-trailer cab break-ins and thefts from industrial yards are almost a nightly occurrence.
