SOUTH JORDAN (ABC 4 News) - Authorities spent Thursday searching for a young girl who disappeared from her home in South Jordan -- and could be with her biological mother, who does not have custody, officials said.

According to the South Jordan Police Dept., Kassidy Kay Nelson was last seen at her home at approximately 9:35 p.m. Wednesday. At the time, she was wearing a multi-colored striped fleece jacket, a yellow bumble bee shirt, black pajama pants, and no shoes. Kassidy, 6, has brown shoulder-length hair and blue eyes.

Police have issued an endangered missing person advisory.

The girl's biological mother, Megan Kendra Boynton, 25, and her boyfriend, Elliott Sunshine Proctor, 34, are wanted for questioning. The two were last seen driving a dark-colored Chevrolet Silverado pickup.

Anyone with information in this case is encouraged to contact the South Jordan Police Department at (801) 840-4000.
