SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - The Utah Highway Patrol says a driver who was traveling west on eastbound Interstate 80 may have been under the influence of drugs.

The UHP say the driver was spotted going west in the eastbound lanes of I-80 near 2300 east.

Troopers followed the driver as turned south onto the northbound lanes of I-15.

Witnesses reported that the driver was using some sort of pipe smoke drugs, perhaps crack cocaine.

Some crashes took place along the driver's route, but no serious injuries were reported.
