Washington Co. police chase ends in Hurricane

HURRICANE, Utah (ABC 4 News) A police chase in Washington County ended with gunfire at a Hurricane gas station. It began after police arrested a female suspect in St. George. The woman managed to escape police custody while being taken to jail. She displayed a weapon and stole a police vehicle. Multiple police agencies chased the woman to Hurricane.

Spikes were deployed and the chase ended on route 9, and the confrontation turned into a standoff at a nearby Chevron gas station. A deputy fired their weapon and struck the suspect, ending the standoff. The suspect's condition and the reason she was arrested in the first place are unknown.
