FARMINGTON, Utah (ABC 4 News) – If you've ever wondered how the bad guy gets away, ABC 4 obtained some amazing video that shows you how one guy in Farmington did just that.
Police were searching for two people accused of stealing a motor home in West Jordan - Shauntae Stratton and Joseph Chatwin. Farmington police found them on Tuesday.
But as you can see in the video, they didn't go without a fight. While officers were trying to book Stratton, Chatwin was sitting alone in the squad car. He realizes, ‘Hey this is my big chance.’ So Chatwin kicks out the back window, crawls out, falls flat on his face, stands there for a minute and then runs away.
If you watch it again, he looks like he tried to grab something out of the squad car, but then decides, ‘Nope I better just make a run for it’ and takes off.
When the Farmington cops come back, they see the broken glass on the ground, and he's nowhere to be found.
When ABC 4 talked to West Jordan police, they said Chatwin is still on the loose. Obviously they want to find him. If you've seen him - give police a call.
