SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 Sports) - The Utah and BYU football teams are both on the outside looking in when it comes to the top-25 preseason coaches poll.
LSU is the preseason favorite of NCAA football coaches. The Tigers received 18 first-place votes, two fewer than second-place Alabama.
The Southeastern Conference has five teams in the top-10. USC and Oregon of the Pac-12 are ranked No. 3 & No. 5, respectively.
The Utes come in at No. 32 with the Cougars four spots behind Utah at No. 36. Utah and BYU open up fall camp today. Utah State starts its camp tomorrow. Weber State and Big Sky newcomer Southern Utah begin their preseason camps on Monday.
