SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) – About a dozen Utahns are standing in line and braving the cold for the latest hyped sneaker.

They’ve been camping outside of Fice in downtown Salt Lake to get their hands on the Lebron X Cork-- named after NBA Superstar Lebron James. The price is $250, but they’re expected to go for over $2,000 online.

Nike is only manufacturing 600 pairs worldwide. Only 12 are coming to Utah and they’re only available at Fice.

“It's the exclusivity, it's the fact that you're getting your hands on something that not many people get their hands,” said Bret Johnson. “These shoes are actually made out of cork, so they're very rare. They don't often make rare materials like this.”

Most of these guys in line have been there since Thursday except for the first in line who set up shop Tuesday night.

“Just sit around and eat, wait for people to bring food,” said John Millar.

The guys describe themselves as shoe collectors. Some plan to display the shoes. Some will wear them. Between the group, they've already worked out who gets what sizes.

Their wait will be over Saturday at 8 a.m. when the store opens its doors.
