UDOT to open largest section of Mountain View Corridor two months early

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is preparing to open the largest section of the Mountain View Corridor in Salt Lake County.

Earlier this year, the first two-mile section of the corridor in Salt Lake County opened from 14400 South to 12600 South.

On Saturday, October 13th, UDOT will open an additional seven miles to make a total of nine miles of new roadway, bike lanes, and trails from Porter Rockwell Blvd. at 16000 South to Old Bingham Highway.

The remainder of the initial section of the corridor is under construction, an additional six miles from Old Bingham Highway to 5400 South, will open by the end of 2012.
