SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) – Tens of thousands of excited Twilight fans stormed Utah theaters Thursday night for the premiere of the final Twilight film, Breaking Dawn Part 2.

Twilight fans don’t try and hide it.

“Twilight rocks!” said Alison Pliley, Twilight fan.

“How excited are you for Twilight?” Carlson asked a fan.

“Really excited,” said Kami Larsen, Twilight fan.

“I’m so excited I can barely stand,” said Kandi Prickett, Twilight fan.

Thursday is the premiere of the final film in the Twilight series.

“How sad are you to see it go?” Carlson asked.

“Yes, very sad,” said Pliley.

Premieres for the Twilight saga have been cash cows for Megaplex Theatres, and Breaking Dawn Part 2 is no different.

“Megaplex as a group has sold over 40,000 tickets tonight,” said Blake Andersen, Senior Vice President, Megaplex Theatres.

Twilight has done so well for Megaplex; they’re using it to kickoff the grand opening of the Valley Fair Theatres in West Valley. Andersen told ABC 4 the new theatre has one of the best audio systems in the country.

“The sound is not only surround all the way around but we’ve also put speakers in the ceiling so you’re completely immersed in sound,” said Andersen.

If you go to the premiere Thursday, no matter which theatre you visit, the only thing you’ll probably hear is fanatic fans screaming.
