SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Authorities say the suspect in the rape and killing of a 6-year-old Utah girl faces new assault charges after another child came forward and accused the man of attacking her.
Terry Lee Black is charged with aggravated murder,
kidnapping and rape of a child in the
June 26 death of Sierra Newbold, whose
body was found in a canal near her West Jordan home.
Prosecutors say Black now faces four additional child sex abuse charges after authorities say he assaulted another young girl on two occasions between 2007 and 2009.
Black is already held at the Salt Lake County jail on $2 million bond in the Newbold case. Multiple telephone messages left at Black's home have not been returned. His attorney also didn't return messages on Friday.
