SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah (ABC 4 News) --Police are looking for the man who allegedly tried to abduct a young girl on her way to school.

A group of four children, between the ages of seven and 12, were walking to school near the area of 2685 South Main Street, Monday morning.

As the children were walking north on Main Street, a man was walking south towards the children.

One of the children walked past the man. When the other three children were next to the man he reached out and grabbed one of the girls, 7 years old, by the shoulder and started to pull her behind a business.

The suspect was described as a male, 20-40 years old. He has a dark complexion, possibly Hispanic, between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet tall, weighing around 180 pounds, medium build, and scruffy facial hair. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded coat with the hood up, dark pants, black boots, and a black backpack. His clothing appeared to be dirty.
