JUAB COUNTY, Utah (ABC 4 News) - The Juab County Sheriff's Office report that a large marijuana farm was eradicated on Wednesday.

According to the Juab County Sheriff’s Office, the marijuana grow in rural Juab County consisted of over 5,000 plants, with an estimated value of over $5 million.

Officials also announced that 22-year-old Omar Bargass from Mexico was arrested for growing the marijuana and is facing federal prosecution.

Officials said the marijuana grow was discovered by hunters during the winter months.

The Juab County Sheriff’s Office investigated and determined that it was a successful grow last year and that it was active this year.

The Juab County Sheriff cautioned resident to be extremely cautious if they encounter such farms, as growers can be very dangerous and violent.

A Utah Department of Public Safety Helicopter was used during the operation.
