Salt Lake City, Utah (ABC 4 News)- Today ABC 4 got a Backstage pass to the Capitol Theater to see what it takes to be the Giant Green Ogre we have all gotten to know as sherk.
The show kicked off in downtown Tuesday and it's no easy task. It takes actor Perry Sook about two hours to get ready for his starring role. Artists use seven pounds of makeup and a 65-pound costume to convert the normal sized, blue eyed blonde. He says it's worth it to play such a fun character.
The musical is based on the Oscar winning dream works film. It's about a swam-dwelling ogre who goes on a life changing adventure to reclaim the deed to his land.
