LOGAN, Utah (AP) - Ireland's former President Mary Robinson is visiting Utah State University for a lecture.

Robinson's lecture titled "Reflections on Peace and Social Justice" will be given Wednesday afternoon and will be hosted by the university's Center for Women and Gender and the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost.

Center Director Ann Austin tells the Herald Journal that Robinson accepted the invitation because of the university's reputation and interest in developing world issues.

Robinson was the first woman president of Ireland. She served from 1990 to 1997. She is also former United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
