WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (ABC 4 News) - Investigators suspect arson to be the cause of an overnight fire that destroyed nine cars and several storage units.

The fire started around midnight on Tuesday at a condominium complex in West Valley City at 2200 West 3688 South.   It destroyed nine cars, the carport where the cars were parked, and several closet storage units.

West Valley City Fire Marshal Bob Fitzgerald says arson dogs were brought to the scene where they found accelerant among the ashes.  Fitzgerald says it will take a few days to run tests to determine what accelerant was used and how the fire was started.  They have no suspects or persons of interest in the case.

The total cost of the damage is estimated at over two hundred thousand dollars.
