OREM, Utah (AP) - Utah Valley University says it has been awarded a $3 million federal grant to boost cybersecurity training.

The grant from the U.S. Department of Labor will help students land jobs in the growing fields of computer network and information security.

The Orem school says cybersecurity skills are in high demand with a lot of Utah technology companies devoted to Internet security.

The school says the National Security Agency needs computer engineers for a massive data center at Camp Williams, 25 miles south of Salt Lake City.

Federal officials have said the data center that opens in October 2013 will protect U.S. computer infrastructure.
