WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (AP) - Plans are under way for a Utah memorial honoring missing West Valley City mom Susan Cox Powell and her two sons.

The nonprofit Pleasant Green Cemetery in Magna is donating a 15-by-15-foot plot of land for the memorial. At least one artist has offered to design a bronze sculpture that would sit at the entrance of the cemetery overlooking the Salt Lake valley.

Powell's friend Kiirsi Hellewell is raising funds for the materials in the project. She says the idea is preliminary and she doesn't know how much money will be needed.

West Valley City Mayor Mike Winder announced the project on Tuesday, less than three weeks after Powell's children Charlie and Braden died in a Washington house explosion police say was orchestrated by her husband Josh.
