It's the first day of school for many schools across the state. It's a big day for students, teachers and staff, along with moms and dads. There are all kinds of emotions today ranging from excitment to anxiety. Moms and dads may shed a few tears as kindergarteners start their school journey today. But don't worry, mine are in college and graduate school and I still shed tears with big school milestones.
Good luck to all of the kids heading off to school, I hope it's a great year for you. And thanks to all of the teachers and school staff around the state. You all are doing great work, making a lasting impact on the lives of your students which they will carry with them for life.
