The storm clouds are clearing out and with gorgeous partly cloudy skies, the almost full moon was amazing this morning.  It was bright and the face of the moon was so vivid on my overnight drive in to work.  The glow of the moon was streaming down and while it looks full, it almost is.
The full moon for the month of July this year occurs on the 15th.  Native Americans named the moons for the seasons or what was going on during those months.  The July moon has three names, the Full Buck Moon because it's the time of year when the young buck deer begin to get their antlers.  It's also called the Full Hay Moon and many of our local farmers are out working in the hay fields right now, or often it is called the Full Thunder Moon due to the numerous thunderstorms that happen during the month of July.
With fair skies in the forecast, I hope you too will get a glimpse of the full moon this month.  Enjoy!
