FAIRVIEW, Utah (AP) - Law enforcement officials have obtained surveillance video for the first time of a mountain man who has been breaking into dozens of cabins, stealing guns and supplies, across southern Utah.

The Deseret News reported Tuesday that the video shows Troy James Knapp outside a cabin using binoculars, apparently looking for an alarm system. He also waves his arms, checking for a motion sensor, before moving out of frame and allegedly breaking into the cabin.

The 44-year-old Knapp appeared nervous and had a rifle slung over his shoulder.

Authorities from three counties and the Utah Highway Patrol conducted a search for Knapp last week after the cabin owner reported the break-in, but they didn't find him.
