SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - After President Barack Obama was petitioned to consider creating a national monument, Utah's congressional leaders are pushing back.

A conservancy group sent the presdient a letter, asking him to create a monument around Canyonlands National Park.

ABC 4 has obtained another letter to the president, sent by Senator Orrin Hatch, Senator Mike Lee and representatives Jason Chaffetz and Rob Bishop, asking him to reject the first letter.

The president's office has not commented on either letter.
