BYRON, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming authorities say they've found the body of a 9-year-old Utah boy who drowned in the South Fork of the Shoshone River after being thrown from a horse last month.

The Park County Sheriff's office tells the Deseret News that a search and rescue kayaker found the body of Tyler Hatch on Sunday afternoon.

The boy from Eagle Mountain was camping with his family on July 2 near Powell when he drowned. His father jumped into the water to try to save him but the water had carried him too far downstream.

Dozens of volunteers had been searching for the boy.
