Police shoot sucpect, suspect takes them on a high speed chase

Logan, Utah (ABC 4 News)- A man is in the hospital this morning after being shot by police after a high speed chase where he rammed several cop cars. 

The chase began just after 11pm near the gates at canyon ridge apartments, when he rammed an officers vehicle and was shot at by the officer.  One of those bullets hit the suspect but did not stop him. 

The suspect then took to Interstate 15 going north through Weber, Box Elder and eventually ending in Cache county. Speeds played a major factor reaching over 100 miles per hour.  The chase ended in a Logan neighborhood with the suspect being taken into custody. 

The suspects name has not been released but police tell ABC 4 that he was transported to a local hospital.
