Police and school address rumors of guns at Ogden School

Ogden, Utah (ABC 4 News)- Police and school officials at Bonneville High School in Ogden addressed rumors of kids with guns entering school property which spread on Twitter and Facebook last night.   

In a letter addressed to parents, school principal Ray long said, "When we were notified of the rumor or possible threat yesterday, we immediately notified our school Resource Officer and Weber School District Executive Director for Secondary Education. We also notified Weber County Sheriff's Department and they are actively investigating the Facebook and Twitter rumors."

In addition to a letter addressing the situation the weber county sheriffs office also did a sweep of the school before kids started to arrive.
