Vatican City, Italy (ABC 4 News)-
With the rising of the white smoke at the Vatican, the Roman Catholic conclave sent a strong signal of inclusion to the Latino population worldwide.

Pope Francis I, Jorge Mario Bergoglio, 76, is the first non-European pontiff in more than 1000 years.  An Argentinean, Pope Francis was chosen off of a short list of possibilities, which included several prominent American Catholic clergy.
