SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 Sports) - Utah Jazz assistant coach Sidney Lowe released a statement through his attorney Wednesday morning apologizing for his arrest on state tax evasion charges.

“I would like to apologize to the Utah Jazz organization and Jazz fans for the situation that was reported publicly yesterday (Monday)," Lowe stated. "This is a personal matter that I take very seriously. I am working very hard to get the issue resolved in a timely manner and I am cooperating fully with all parties involved.”

Lowe was arrested Monday in North Carolina, and released on a $10,000 bond. He was back on the bench during Tuesday's victory over the Golden State Warriors.

Lowe is scheduled to appear in court March 19th in Wake Forest, North Carolina.
