Father and son killed in Northern Utah crash

LOGAN, Utah (ABC 4 News) Slick roads and speed are suspected to be the cause of a fatal accident in Northern Utah. 

At about 10:02 p.m. a gray GMC SUV was traveling too fast westbound on SR-30 at miler marker 101, near the county line of Box Elder and Cache. The driver lost control and hit an eastbound Nissan pickup, head on.

The driver of the pickup, 70 year old Terry Barnett, and passenger, 33 year old Nicholas Barnett suffered fatal injuries and declared dead at the scene. The driver of the SUV was transported to Logan Regional Hospital with non life threatening injuries. 

Both east and westbound traffic on SR-30 were completely shut off for an extended period of time.
