LAYTON, Utah (ABC 4 News) - Utah fire officials are reporting that evacuations were lifted at noon Sunday for the Ridge Fire.
As of Sunday morning, the fire had reached approximately 20 acres and evacuated 20 homes.
According to authorities, the mandatory evacuation of area homes was in place as a precaution.
Officials were assisted by helicopters early Sunday morning to aid in the containment of the fire.
Layton City is reporting the fire to be at 50 percent containment, with an estimated total containment time of 10 pm Sunday.
