SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) – ABC4 is entering into the world of ballroom dancing. Some faces you see everyday are trading in the TV studio for the dance floor.

It's for the second annual American Cancer Society's Dancing with the Salt Lake Stars.

Good Things Utah host Gretchen Jensen, Meteorologist Curtis Ray, and Anchor Kim Johnson will all be dancing in the March 1st event.

“I haven't had a dance lesson since third grade and that was a hundred years ago,” said Jensen.

The dancing newbies have just four weeks to nail down a routine and perform it live on stage.

“The timing, the footwork, you got the hands, trying to walk with two left feet that I was born with,” said Ray.

DF Dance Studios in South Salt Lake is generously donating the practice space and the dance instructors. Red Tango in Provo is donating the costumes.

Dancing with the Salt Lake Stars will be held at the Downtown Sheraton from 6:30 to 10 pm. If you would like to purchase tickets, contact the American Cancer Society of Utah at 801-483-1500.
